Level Completion Certification - Guidelines for SLIIT Undergraduate Students

Students enrolled in Undergraduate Degree programs at SLIIT are eligible to obtain level completion certificates upon the completion of the following stages of their academic program.

1. Associate Diploma Level (applicable only to those who registered prior to 2017)

2. Diploma Level

3. Higher Diploma Level

4. Advanced Diploma Level (applicable only to those who registered prior to 2017)

1.1 What is the Associate Diploma Level?

The completion of the First Year of the degree program.

1.2 What is the eligibility of obtaining the Associate Diploma Level completion certificate?

It is compulsory to complete all the assigned modules to the First Year by obtaining ‘C’ or Higher Grades.

Status of each module should be Finalized on the student profile.

Registration should be before the 2017 academic year.


2.1 What is the Diploma Level?

The completion of the First Two Years of the degree program.

2.2 What is the eligibility of obtaining the Diploma Level completion certificate?

It is compulsory to complete all the assigned modules to the First Two Years by obtaining ‘C’ or Higher Grades.

Status of each module should be Finalized on the student profile.

Registration should be before the 2017 academic year.


3.1 What is the Higher Diploma Level?

The completion of the First Two Years of the degree program.

3.2 What is the eligibility of obtaining the Higher Diploma Level completion certificate?

It is compulsory to complete all the assigned modules to the First Two Years by obtaining ‘C’ or Higher Grades.

Status of each module should be Finalized on the student profile.

Registration should be after the 2017 academic year.


4.1 What is the Advanced Diploma Level?

The completion of the First Three Years of the degree program.

4.2 What is the eligibility of obtaining the Advanced Diploma Level completion certificate?

It is compulsory to complete all the assigned modules to the First Three Years by obtaining ‘C’ or Higher Grades.

Status of each module should be Finalized on the student profile.

Registration should be before the 2017 academic year.


How to apply for the level completion certificate?

It is required to raise a ticket through SLIIT Support Desk.

Those who do not have access to the SLIIT Support Desk are required to send an email to the Student Services Division via studentservices@sliit.lk.


Degree programs not eligible for level completion certificates

Students enrolled in the following degree programs are not eligible to obtain level completion certificates.

  • BSc. (Hons) in Biotechnology

  • BSc. (Hons) in Financial Mathematics and Applied Statistics

  • BEd. (Hons) in Biological Sciences

  • BEd. (Hons) in Physical Sciences

  • BEd. (Hons) in Social Sciences

  • BEd. (Hons) in English

  • Bachelor of Laws (Hons) Law

IMPORTANT:

  • Students will be notified via an email once the certificate is ready to be issued.

  • The completion of the certification process takes a minimum of three to four weeks from the date of request, due to the availability of the signatories. The certificate issuing time may vary depending on certain circumstances.

  • Students are required to provide the adequate evidence (Scanned copy of the Passport OR English Translation of the Birth Certificate) if there is any discrepancy between the name which was provided and the name available on the system. Failure to submit the evidence will lead to printing the certificate with the name available on the system.
