What is an Academic Misconduct Investigation Panel (AMIP) at SLIIT?

The Academic Misconduct Investigation Panel at SLIIT is a Senate-appointed committee that investigates cases of academic misconduct, such as cheating, plagiarism, or other dishonest academic behavior. The panel ensures that each case is handled fairly.

Examples of Academic Misconduct:

·         Cheating during exams or assignments

·         Plagiarizing (copying someone else's work without proper citation)

·         Helping someone else cheat or plagiarize

Things to remember:

·         The panel investigates the case and gives a recommendation.

·         The final decision is made by the Senate , based on the panel’s recommendation.
